Texas A/C and Refrigeration Contractors License Renewal and Continuing Education Requirements

All A/C and Refrigeration Contractors are required to take eight hours of TDLR approved continuing education annually, which must cover the following topics below.

• Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1302, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors;
• Title 16, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 75, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Administrative Rules;
• The International Mechanical Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code, or other applicable codes;
• Ethics;
• Business practices; or
• Technical requirements.
